Hi - I’m Rebecca, creative designer and celebration commissioner behind Party at my Plate! I have a passion for creating theme parties and thoughtful gifts, and am unapologetically extra about serving it up with a side of puns! I am a mom of three girls and am fueled by working out, making things pretty and a good cocktail in one hand (and chlorophyll water in the other.) I use bright colors & interesting patterns in my designs and inject humor anywhere I can! I put a lot of heart into what I do. I’ve loved planning big events over the years, but what’s been most fulfilling has been making a BIG deal out of the small events…like Taco Tuesday, a good ol’ fashioned football tailgate, celebrating the first week back to school, or letting my girls eat out of dog bowls (yep, heads right on in the bowl). It’s these moments that have brought me and the people I love so much joy. You’ve heard it before - people won’t remember what you say, but they WILL remember how you make them feel. That’s what fills up my plate and I can’t wait to share these ideas with you!

Born and bred in Buffalo, NY, I’m a big fan of the Bills, Duff’s wings & Labatt Blue
I inherited my passion for photography from my great grandfather who traveled door to door with his donkey & bellow camera to take family photographs. I also inherited my love for beer, as that same grandpa worked in a brewery in downtown Buffalo!
I know almost every line from the movie, Can’t Buy Me Love (1987)
Birds totally freak me out (it’s the flapping), yet ironically my favorite animals are flamingos & peacocks.
My dream to be on Dancing with the Stars got (partially) fulfilled when my daughter and I were lucky enough to be the live audience…and DID dance on the dance floor! Now I just need to work on being a competitor…
Going into a stationery/gift shop gives me all the feels...beautifully patterned papers, artfully displayed, being able to see and touch all the mugs, notepads, bags, and reading the random, funny sayings sparks a creative fire in my soul!
Hall & Oates station is on repeat in my kitchen while I’m sippin’ a cocktail & cooking dinner.
This Senorita’s seen Justin Timberlake 7 times in concert and I’m not done yet.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a thrift store gem: a fork twisted and formed into a bracelet. It’s a conversation starter, cool accessory AND emergency silverware all rolled into one.
I have an affinity for all things vintage and still wear a lot of finds from my Grandma’s basement treasure trove.
I could drool over cocktail garnishes ALL. DAY. LONG.
I love being a tourist in my own city. My friends and I have taken many a weekday Mommy Field Trip… annnndd have made it back to school pickup just in the nick of time!
